The northern centre of excellence for the racing industry
"Our aim has always been to provide high quality training for young people who want to work in the racing industry. This leads to the achievement of diploma's together with practical experience in trainers' yards. Approximately 100 students complete our 12-week residential 'Diploma level 1 Foundation Course' each year. This is the starting point for students with no previous experience of working with horses and for those with some equine but limited racing experience. We attract students from all over the country and abroad and our reputation for excellence is recognised throughout the industry."
Topline Veterinary Physiotherapy is The Northern Racing College physiotherapist and visits the centre on a monthly basis to carry out assessments and give treatments necessary to ensure all the horses at the training yard stay in optimum condition.
